Finance - The Policy

Established by Late Shri Laljibhai Gohil in 1954, was joined by youngsters in 1986. Since then Arya Samaj Gandhidham, got an impetus and became a model Arya Samaj in India due to constantly increasing activities and relief work done during natural calamities. Arya Samaj is one of the most prestigious-social and voluntary organization in Gujarat State.

The joining of youngsters in 1986 started the success story of Arya Samaj Gandhidham, attaining the present status from nothing in 1986. Today Arya Samaj Gandhidham is India's model and constantly active Arya Samaj.Today Arya Samaj Gandhidham is celebrating its 50th year of inception.

Before the devastating earthquake of 26th January 2001, Arya Samaj Gandhidham was totally dependent on local online donations for all its activities. After Earthquake, seeing the organized way in which work was being done by Arya Samaj Gandhidham, national and international community has started donating in a large way and helping us in all our projects.

»	We begin with ZERO funds and after the completion of the project our balance is NIL. We do not keep any balance funds for any other projects.
»	Similarly we do not wait to collect the required funds rather we start the work and then approach the donors for donations. We believe in showing results, our work speaks for itself.
»	We do not take any Government grants for any of our project.
»	We do not make any commercial use of any of our properties.
»	We follow the 100% social return theory. Whatever donations received by us are multiplied and returned to the society for the betterment, welfare and upliftnient of the downtrodden in the society, in form of various activities. Thus donations are grown in multiples, and the society in turn is benefited from the donations it has made to Arya Samaj.
»	The orphans are being reared, looked after and taken care of as our own children. We do not keep them in a tattered and sickly condition just to gain the sympathy of the donors, rather we keep them in the best environment and proper care is taken with regards to their food, education, clothing (We do not accept old clothes, the children wear only new clothes) etc.
»	We rather want the donors to see the quality of our work and on being satisfied they can donate for our project.

Your Partnership

You can help us in the construction of the complex by joining hands with us in the following way:

»	Rs. 56 Lakhs to name the central administration block in the name you suggest.
»	Rs. 40 Lakhs to name the meditation hall (Basement + Ground ) in the name you suggest.
»	Rs. 11 Lakhs to name the compound wall of the entire complex in the name you suggest.
»	Rs. 2.5 Lakhs for the construction of one work station in the name you suggest.
»	Rs. 1 Lakh for one house in the name you suggest.
»	Rs. 51 Thousand for one room in the name you suggest.
»	A mini bus is also required for the movement of children.

For the education of the children we request you donate Rs. 1000/- once a year for their school books, uniforms, school shoes, school bags etc.

For one time simple meal to the children you can donate Rs. 500/- and for Breakfast you can donate Rs. 250/- this being one time expenses.

Note : The names of all the above donors will be etched and displayed on marble.

Let us Join Hands

Some of our recurring expenses are listed below. We request you to please be kind enough to join hands with us for any of these heads.

Food : We provide the children with simple and balanced diet. This helps in their physical as well as mental growth. We spend nearly Rs. 600/- per child per month.

Nutrition : As regards to nutrition we do have a specific programmed whereby the children are given milk, fruits, butter, ghee and other nutritional supplements. This expense comes to Rs. 700/- per child per month.

Clothes : Our conservative estimate for the clothes of one child is Rs. 300/- per child per month. This includes clothes, night dress, under garments, shoes, chappals. bathroom slippers, bed sheets, mattresses, pillows, blankets etc.

Education : Our expense for one child is Rs. 1000/- per year. This covers school uniform, books, school shoes and other incidental schooling expenses. This does not cover school fees.

Medical : Regarding the specific cause we cannot arrive at an estimate for medical expenses asit is seasonal. In January 2001, we spent nearly Rs. 10000/- for medical treatment to various children, as one new girl who was undernourished had some throat problem and had to be operated, now she is perfectly O.K., our average medical expenses per child per month comes to about Rs. 50/-.

Maintanance : Electricity, water and cleanliness are the basic requirements of human beings. For these basic amenities we incur an expenses of Rs. 400/- per child per month.

For the education of the children we request you donate Rs. 1000/- once a year for their school books, uniforms, school shoes, school bags etc.
